Reaghan Toth

I created Hot Fudge Sundae Cupcake in my Digital Painting class. In this project, I explored composition and digital painting in a graphic and line-art style.

To begin this project, I set up a composition of a brightly decorated cupcake on a plate on a wooden table and took a photo of it. I then digitally drew out everything in the photo on one layer and colored in everything on a separate. My focus was capturing all the line details within not only the subject, but also the wooden table background. When coloring, I focused on capturing the shapes that the highlights and shadows made on and around the cupcake.
