I created Infographic Project: eTransportation in my Senior Studio Graphic Design class. In this project, I explored redesigning data, illustration, using a limited color palette, typography, and 2D and 4D poster design.

I was assigned to create an infographic connected to the environment for this project and I chose to focus my infographic on electric transportation, specifically electric buses and trucks. This project began with research and figuring out how to represent it in a more eye-catching way than originally presented. I relied heavily on the importance of visuals for this project and made sure all of my data had accompanying illustrations that helped readers understand what exactly the data showed. I limited my entire infographic to six cool colors and white to make my entire book cohesive. I specifically chose greens and blues to connect to the overarching theme of the environment and “staying green”. My typography is simple and sans-serif since my text chunks are small, and my infographic requires a typeface that can aid in showing hierarchy of information through the use of bolded faces and varying text sizes. Along with my infographic, I created a supporting print and animated poster that showcases some of the data from my infographic and gives readers more ways to view the information.
